How IIAA Verifies Insulation Products
When a manufacturer applies to have their product verified by the IIAA, they follow a thorough process
Manufacturers complete an application form and submit the necessary evidence, as outlined in the Product Eligibility Checklist. This includes documentation such as performance reports, fire safety tests, and environmental declarations, all verified by independent certification bodies.
The IIAA reviews the submitted documentation to ensure the product meets our stringent verification criteria. We cross-check the evidence with the accepted certifications, ensuring that all performance claims are backed by credible and recognised authorities.
If the product passes all the required checks, it is awarded the Approved Product Stamp. This stamp is an indicator that the product has met the IIAA’s high standards for thermal performance, fire safety, and environmental sustainability.
Manufacturers must adhere to strict guidelines on how they present product information. This ensures that all product claims are transparent, specific, and backed by verifiable certifications, preventing misleading information.
IIAA invites installer companies to register their interest in becoming IIAA accredited installers. Accreditation ensures installations align with IIAA’s recognised standards for quality and safety, fostering industry trust and homeowner confidence.
