When you choose the IIAA Warranty, the IIAA inspects the installer’s work to check that the installation has been carried out safely and correctly.

In the unlikely event that a problem arises with your installation which has been subject to our verification service, the IIAA will investigate and, if required, rectify the problem – even if the installer is no longer trading. *
*This warranty does not replace the statutory consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law but supplements them, particularly in cases where the installer is no longer trading. This means that, in addition to your existing rights, you are covered for the duration of the warranty for any unforeseen issues related to the installation.
Ensuring safety and quality at every stage
Before Installation
We ensure that all IIAA Accredited Installer companies are suitable and theirinstallers are qualified and supervised, as well as ensuring all products used are fit for-purpose and meet strict quality and safety standards.
During Installation
Every insulation install is checked – not just a sample. Independent assessors oversee the installation process and carry out a 100 percent desktop and 1 in 10 physical onsite inspection to ensure everything is done safely and correctly.
After Installation
Installations covered by the IIAA Warranty provide homeowners with additional protection and independent support to address any issues. If there is defective or incomplete work, you can contact contact IIAA and we will resolve issues in a timely manner. We also provide a fair, free and independent dispute resolution through the IIAA Complaints Committee.

What is an Accredited Installer?
An Accredited Installer is a company that has been accredited by the IIAA to install approved insulation products. Accreditation requires meeting strict IIAA criteria, including verifying that their technicians are trained and competent to carry out installations.

We also inspect installation work to help ensure it is installed safely and correctly, in line with industry best practices and safety standards.

What does it mean for a product to be "approved" by IIAA?
IIAA approved products must meet strict criteria, including compliance with Australian thermal performance standards and fit-for-purpose certification, in addition to disclosing information regarding combustibility, any harmful ingredients and environmental impacts. Products that meet these criteria are awarded IIAA verified product status, signified by the verified product stamp.
Can the warranty be transferred if I sell my home?
Yes, the Warranty Certificate is transferable. If you sell your home, the warranty will transfer to the new owner. The warranty remains valid for the original period specified in the Warranty Certificate—such as 10 years from the date of installation—and will not be extended or amended when transferred to a new homeowner.
